I am based at the King's Buildings, in the James Clerk Maxwell Building (see this map), in Room 1617
If you are not familiar with the layout of KB, this more detailed map might be more useful.
JCMB is the building where all the arrows converge; the entrance is at the head of the red or green arrows. My office is roughly where the blue circle is, at the south end of JCMB.
If you arrive by taxi, ask the driver to enter the KB site by ‘entrance 4’ and take you ‘all the way round to the front of the JCMB’ (red path); if they drop you at the nearer (‘computing’) entrance (where green and red paths split), walk following the green path.
If you are walking or arrive by bus (stop at the purple square), follow the light blue path on the map.
Even if you are familar with JCMB, you might never have found your way to the 16xx corridor by chance! It is on the first floor and located in the middle 'wing' of JCMB. The easiest route to it is to come in the main doors on level 2, past the lifts into the farthest corridor. Turn left and then first right into the 26xx corridor. Go along this corridor and almost at the end, on the left, is a
stairwell going down to level 1, entering directly onto the 16xx corridor.
