Coach Beavers returns in 2012 for his 6th year as the head coach of the program. Beavers began coaching fastpitch over 10 years ago and is excited once again to be at the helm of a program that has put itself on the map in just a few short years. A Longmont product, Beavers attended grammar school in Hygiene and graduated from Longmont High School in 1988. He graduated from Colorado State University and played baseball there as a Division I athlete. After settling back in Longmont he spent 12 years continuing to play baseball for the Colorado Reds, a team he operated and played on during that time for former professional and collegiate athletes, that traveled around the country playing baseball. He also spent time coaching high school baseball as a pitching coach and giving private pitching lessons for several years.
Coach Beavers makes his home in Longmont with his wife, Tracy and their three children, Ashley, Kyle, and Bailey. He enjoys time in the outdoors hunting and fishing when not on a field with his father and brother and cites his roles models in life as his father Clark and his grandfather, Dale who was a purple heart recipient in World War II.
