We're so thrilled to welcome you to our exciting eighth season together here at Silver Birch Concerts! If you are a long-time SBC supporter, we are so happy to have you with us again. If you are a first-time SBC concert-goer, we hope that you will enjoy our fabulous line up!

 

This year the Silver Birch String Quartet will be collaborating with some of the finest artists Canada has to offer, a few from right here in Sudbury! Yoko Hirota, faculty at Laurentian University, is a sparkling and graceful player who will join us twice this year! First in the Sudbury premiere of a new piano quintet by Robert Lemay, and again in our collaborative concert with 5-Penny New Music Concerts!. A new guest to SBC is the accordion virtuoso Joseph Petric, and featuring a compelling modern quintet called "Winds of Thera". Our friend and jazz pianist John Roney returns to Sudbury to play works from our JUNO-nominated album "Silverbirch". PLUS, you get to here the SBSQ in two featured concerts of classical, and Hungarian music. 

  

As in previous years, all of our concerts take place in the intimacy of St. Peter's United Church, 203 York St. in Sudbury.
