PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS
- A date deposit of $1000+ $550 venue fee (if applicable) along with a confirmation email stating the proposed date and agreement of terms and conditions appearing within. The date cannot be secured unless a date deposit has been paid and email recieved.
- A progressive payment of $1000 is required two (2) months prior to the event.
- Full payment is required ten (10) days prior to the event.
- Management reserves the right to cancel any reservations not held with a deposit by the due dates. Deposits are non-refundable.
- Payment Methods:
-- Direct Deposit - state surname and wedding date on transfer details (BSB 112879 Acc No. 056657132). -- Credit Cards - Visa, MasterCard & American Express (additional 2%). -- Cheques not accepted. - Events held on Public Holidays, Easter (Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday) or any other day the restaurant deems as 'Special' (eg Christmas Eve, New Years Eve) will be charged at a different rate. Quotes will be dealt with on an individual request basis.
NUMBER OF GUESTS
- The restaurant alone allows for a maximum of 80 guests sit-down (combination of up to 50 inside & 30 verandah, with the total not exceeding 80) and 120 cocktail (with use of inside and verandah area).
- Marquee extensions allow for a maximum of 140 guests sit-down and 250 cocktail. Additional hire costs (for the marquee, etc) are charged to the client (see hire equipment in terms & conditions)
- Any Function/ Wedding that is expected to exceed our seating capacity will be required to hire a Marquee, tables and chairs at the cost to the client.
- Final numbers are required ten (10) days prior to your function. This number will be the minimum number catered and charged for.
EXCLUSIVITY
- The Silos sets a minimum number of guests for exclusivity of the venue. This minimum number refers to adults under one of the standard packages.
- Exclusivity to the restaurant for lunch weddings is no later than 4.30pm and for dinner weddings no earlier than 5.30pm (with access to the venue from 4.30pm).
VENUE FEE A $550 venue fee is charged under our lease agreement. This is a one off fee that provides access to the grounds. Payable to the Restaurant at the time of deposit. There is no wet weather option at the estate so please consider alternatives for inclement weather, i.e. local halls or Churches. Please ask Co-ordinator for guidance.
HIRE EQUIPMENT
- The Silos Restaurant only allows hire equipment through approved hire company’s as they have a proven track record, quality hireware and understanding of our venue.
- Any Function / Wedding that is expected to exceed our seating capacity will have to hire a Marquee, tables and chairs at the cost to the client.
- The Silos Wedding packages include all cutlery, plates, glassware and all basic table settings.
- Linen will be provided for rectangular tables only. If the client requires round tables, an additional cost for linen will be required.
CHILDREN
- All children or teenagers receiving children’s food are charged at $30 per person, please request a menu. Children receiving adult food, either sit-down or cocktail will be charged at the full rate. Young children not eating will not be charged.
- Beverage rates for under 18’s are detailed in the beverage package. Any children drinking will be charged at this under 18 rate. Young children not drinking will not be charged.
| BEVERAGES
- The restaurant is a fully licensed venue and therefore BYO is not permitted.
- The Beverage package is charged for every guest attending the wedding.
- The bar closes at 11.30pm.
MENU
- Menu must be selected two months prior to the event.
- Special
dietary requirements and/or vegetarian dishes are available as long as
we are notified with final numbers ten days prior.
- Our
a la carte menu has many similarities to our function menu and provides
enough variation to test the flavours and style. All our food is of the
highest quality and made from scratch therefore a tasting is difficult
and time consuming to prepare. If a tasting is required, four weeks
notice is needed and meals will be charged at regular a la carte
prices. Unfortunately cocktail food cannot be prepared in small
quantities and therefore a tasting cannot be provided.
- Food is always a highlight of a Silos wedding.
TABLE SETTINGS/PLACE CARDS/BONBONNIERES All
individual table settings must be provided in order of seating, grouped
in tables. The table plan provided to staff needs to exactly
replicating what is written on the place card (ie not nicknames).
CLEANING/DAMAGE An additional cleaning/repair cost may be charged to the client if the grounds or venue are left excessively untidy or damaged.
Please advise your guests that: -- Confetti is not to be thrown on the grounds. -- The grassed area is not to be used for extinguishing cigarettes. -- Linen damaged by candle wax will be charged to the client.
INSURANCE Although
all reasonable care will be taken, The Silos cannot accept any
responsibility for property lost or damaged prior to, during or after
the function. Wedding Presents must not be left overnight at the venue.
WEDDING CAKE Alterations
or repairs to the wedding cake are not the responsibility of the
Restaurant. If required, an additional charge may be required.
PRICES Whilst
every effort is made to maintain prices, they may be subject to
alteration. All prices quoted in the wedding kit are inclusive of GST.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES Due to any unforeseen circumstances or accidents, the venue reserves the right to cancel a booking.
