The Silicon Valley Cisco Users Group (SVCUG) is a Bay Area Cisco user
group that meets regularly for the purposes of learning Cisco
technologies, growing in networking knowledge, and sharing user
experiences and ideas.
The SVCUG offers three meetings a month. There are two Saturday Labs
and one Monthly Meeting. The Saturday Labs offer the users a place to
meet and use Cisco equipment (provided by us). The Monthly Meeting is
used for technical presentations. Typically a Cisco professional will
deliver a Cisco technology presentation they are subject matter experts
in - but, on occasion, we will have someone outside of Cisco deliver a
networking related presentation.
Please read our special thanks to Cisco Press here

Follow Up:
Hello Group. I don’t
normally do this (as you’ve never gotten one of these emails from me) but I
would like to do two things:
1. First, I would like to thank Drew
Gansmiller (from Unitek) for the wonderful presentation he delivered last week
and
2. Second, I would like to mention to anyone
who is interested in the security path that I *highly* recommend Drew as
an instructor of security
As I’ve stated
before, I’ve never followed up a meeting from a training partner with a
recommendation but Drew’s ability to take us from a high level understanding of
public and private keys all the way to the algebreic theory behind security –
and keep us laughing and interested the whole way through – is a testament to his
passion for teaching. He took a topic that would challenge any instructor and
delivered it in such an accessible way that I now believe learning security
might be fun - I know! Who would have thought. ;)
Again, if your
interest is in security and you believe it will be an uphill battle – consider
taking a class taught by Drew and see if he doesn’t change your mind and allow
you to continue on you path with confidence.
From everyone at
the SVCUG – Thanks for a spectacular presentation Drew!
