Born in the late sixties, I grew up playing flute and drums.  I learnt music with these instruments and also briefly tried saxophone, organ, guitar and bass guitar.

 

My brothers, sisters and I all played one or more instruments and we felt especially blessed as our mother owned a music store in Wagga Wagga where we lived. 

• My older brother now plays as a professional keyboard musician

• My eldest sister occasionally picks up the clarinet to play at her children’s school concerts
   
• My youngest sister plays the flute and piano (not at the same time) to teach up-and-coming flautists or pianists and 
   
• My youngest brother is the Violinist in our family.  He and I only play when we have been socialising too long and someone has insisted that we show them what we know.  Other than that we play in the privacy of our homes where we can enjoy playing knowing no can hear our unique style of music.
