October 14, 6:30 pm, Janet Ann Collins

Janet Ann Collins (www.janetanncollins.com) will talk about writing for the religious market, Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30 pm in a free session at the Madelyn Helling Library community room in Nevada City.

Collins, author of two books for children,  is a retired teacher who has taught workshops at many conferences.  She’ll speak from her own experience with Christian publishers and share information helpful to people of all religions.  In her “Peril of the Secret Scientist,” a middle school boy thinks he was cloned from blood on the Shroud of Turin, and a scientist is stalking him. In her picture book “In Secret Service” Nicholas does secret good deeds and comes to be known as Santa Claus.

Typically, though not in December, Sierra Writers meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Community Room of Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City (980 Helling Way, Nevada City, next to the Rood Administration Center off of Highway 49).
