News Highlights

  1. The 6.4 magnitude aftershock on May 25 in Qingchuan caused serious further damages to the county following the May 12 earthquake. 40% of the buildings in Qingchuan County collapsed and 99% of the buildings need to be re-built, Zhao Yinjiang, subprefect of Qingchuan County, told Qianlong News.   2. Food storage for Shifang can only last for 5 days, earthquake suvivors are facing food shortage problems. The city also needs 40,000 more tents to shelter the homeless. Longnan city is also short of 70,000 tents. There are more than 300,000 students lost their classrooms...
