Standards for Reporting Pe Grades

 

Standard

Develops health and fitness plan. Maintains or exceeds cardiovascular fitness standards on a consistent basis

Safely and appropriately participates in physical and health activities

Demonstrates healthy fitness levels in cardiovascular strength, muscle strength, and flexibility

Demonstrates and applies skills, rules, and strategies in the PE setting

Assessment

ü      Classroom Based Assessment

ü      Progression towards self-set goals and standards

ü      Weekly Fitness Friday’s

ü      Weekly journals

 

ü      Uses equipment correctly

ü      Follows rules of game

ü      Plays safely

ü      Allows other students to play safely and teacher to teach

ü      Wears PE uniform and appropriate athletic shoes

ü      Attends class regularly (few absences)

ü      Fitnessgram:

ü      Pacer/15-minute run

ü      Sit-up test

Grade Scale

Students will earn a standard score on each assessment and a letter grade for each standard. Students will also earn one overall letter grade for Physical Education and Health.

 

A    90-100%                                              C   57-64%

A-   85-90%                                                C-  50-56%

         B+  80-84%                                                         D+ 45-49%

             B    75-79%                                                            D   26-44%
