SELKIRK COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM THEIR WEBSITE.  COMPLETED APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BACK TO MRS. CREEGAN NO LATER THAN MONDAY, APRIL 2, 2012.  THERE CAN BE NO EXTENSION TO THIS DUE DATE.
 
 

Secondary School counsellors do course advising and selection

  • Timetable issues
  • Scholarships: District committee responsibilities, application process
  • Liaison with colleges and universities
  • Confidential personal counselling regarding such issues as family problems, grief and loss issues
  • Crisis intervention
  • Mediation between  students, students and teachers, students and parents
  • Consultations with parents, teachers, and District Personnel, Social Services (Ministry of Children and Families), Mental Health, Police and Probation, Administration, Psychiatrists/physicians, and other specialists

The Selkirk College Computerized Placement Tests will be at SHSS on March 5th, and Monday April 2nd.  You can sign up on Mrs. Creegan's door. 
 
The deadline for completing your post-secondary information form is approaching quickly.  Go to their website to advise the Ministry of Education where to send your final transcript.  See Mrs. Creeganfor more details if required.

You must complete this form by APRIL 29, 2012 to have an interim transcript forwarded in May, 2010 to BC or Ontario colleges and universities.  You must complete this form by JUNE 30, 2010 to have the Ministry forward your final transcript to your college/university of choice.
