Welcome to the Construction and Architectural Design Academy @ Southern High School
 
CADA prepares students for careers in construction-related fields and much more. The academy offers a general introduction to the industry with opportunities for internships and exposure to all facets of construction. This web site is designed to serve the needs of our students and parents as well as showcase many of the great things we are doing in Southern High School and the larger community.
 
We currently have 140 students in the following areas: 
  • Architectural Drafting
  • Construction Technology
  • Electrical Trades
  • Masonry
  • HVAC
CADA Announcements:
  • All CADA students are encouraged to perform 25 hours of community service each semester.
  • 62 Students completed the OSHA 10-Hour course in 2008-2009.
  • 55 Students and five instructors completed the OSHA 10-Hour course in 2007-2008.
  • Congratulations to Youth United for completing their third house. The dedication for the McRae's new home was Saturday, May 16, 2009.
