Guidelines

Giving Priorities

Though the Schoolhouse Partners Foundation is open to all types of classroom projects, our primary areas of interest include:

  • Teacher training
  • Curriculum development
  • Mentoring
  • Career exploration
  • Character education
  • After school programs


Geographic Priorities

Currently, Partners in Education funding is concentrated in the central portion of Indiana, including: Bartholomew, Brown, Johnson, Marion, Monroe, and Morgan counties. Yet, we remain open to proposals from all across the State of Indiana.


Scope of Funding

The Partners in Education Fund generally offers grant awards between $1,000 and $8,000; requests for smaller or larger amounts will also be considered.


Ineligible Requests

The Partners in Education Fund makes grants to tax-exempt public and private educational facilities that serve Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade students, and are described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Fund does not make grants to / for:

  • Individuals
  • Organizations in foreign countries
  • Programs promoting specific religious doctrine
  • Operating support
  • Colleges and universities
  • Programs that supplant existing
