I have many people to thank for this collection of short speculative stories. Family friends and critiquers who gave their time, effort, suggestions, encouragement, and yes, discouragement, for all played a part in these writings.

For me, writing has been an adventure that took me many places within and beyond myself. Often the challenge was to start with common everyday things and add a twist. Another challenge was to edit the stories, deleting the unnecessary, leaving only the essence. 

Some stories are flights of imagination, a few tickled my funny bone as I wrote, and some were written with love about love. Then there were those that grew, turned and twisted, writing themselves. Some stories, plain and sweet, were rewritten at the suggestions of others into more horrifying tales.
