"I need to DO something. I am glad I am here." ~M.

Grief-stricken and wounded, area Haitian-volunteers came out to help provide aid to the people back home in their beloved country.

Volunteer Captain Matthew Mopsick made sense of the hundreds of boxes and bags full of donations, with the aid of his brother Marc, his fiancée, and his mom and dad. His leadership of volunteers and his foresight throughout made possible the identification of items shipped and eased the process of distribution on the ground in Haiti. His volunteer database of church members, community leaders, moms, dads and students from many area high schools and universities made his team mobile and ready to roll when needed.

The Hot Dog Guys to the rescue; Steven Levine owner of area Windmill Hot Dogs and his assistant, Jeremy Margolis loaded the supplies and moved our donations out of Convention Hall. Working with Madison Marquette and the 'A' rated Convoy of Hope movers with American Recreational Military Services their trucks went to their planes which went to meet the needs of those in Haiti. Selfless and steady Steve and Jeremy worked hard to meet the deadlines.

When they all were done, Convention Hall was cleared and lives were touched in Haiti ... and right here in Asbury Park.
