The Setup Process


When we set up your newsletter template, we will use the information you provided when you signed up, but we may need a bit more. We'll also need things like your masthead, or the graphics to create your masthead. Don't worry though, we'll be working with you to create a fine newsletter. 

Once you're signed up and we have all your text and graphics, we'll need about a week to create and polish your template. After that, we'll email you a test version for confirmation and then you're done. 

And while you're waiting for the confirmation, why not log in to your account and upload all of your future newsletter recipient's emails!

If you haven't signed up yet, or are just wondering what we'll need to create your newsletter, here's a list:

Masthead 
  • What is the title of your newsletter? (ex. Dr Joe's Family Practice Newsletter, or Get Well Soon by Dr Joe) 
  • What graphics will be used in the design, or do you already have a masthead that can be modified? 
  • What are the web addresses of these graphics, or will you upload them? (make sure to name files like this: "YourName-Filename.jpg") 

Sidebar 
  • What will your main sidebar--or about us--image be? (if any). Remember, a logo is good, your face is better! 
  • What contact information do you want to share? 
  • What email address to use? 
  • What will your "about us" text say? You probably already have something on your webpage.

Body 
  • At the end of each article, what link would you like available--for example, to your website, your blog? 
  • If readers click the "edit my information" link, what would you like to ask them--other than their name?  Ideas for questions include their hobbies, specific medical information, or even just their favorite color.

Footer 
Just one thing here: what message would you like them to find at the end--above your address?
