Currently I am working as Team Lead at Consilient Technologies Inc. I started at Consilient when the size of the company was about 20-25 people and experienced its growth to about 70+ employees currently. The development team itself then was about 6 then. Wireless Push-Email market exploded in the  recent past with Research in Motion’s pioneering technology “The Blackberry".  Consilient Technologies provide similar solution but for a broader reach of devices. Imagine blackberry like push email, calendar and contacts capability to all wireless devices. Consilient Server is poised to enable any one of the street with a regular cell phone and GPRS/CDMA connectivity experience push data technology.

 A peek at the past

It's been an interesting journey yet. Born and brought up in the suburbs of vibrant Calcutta, I went over to Moscow as a young lad. Russian is a difficult language to learn, but it was definitely worth the effort. Russians during the dying days of cold war were torn between conservative communistic ways of life to modern fast paced western democracy. The confusion stemmed from mix messages from political parties trying to control the ever escalating inflation. Amidst all confusion and un-cohesive social law and order the city remained appreciated. Moscow is a beautiful city of eight sisters with lavishly ornate streets, sub way stations and wondrous kiosks at every corner. The value of ruble against the dollar was the common morning greet during my time in Moscow. I realized I needed to move and move quickly away from instability. 

I came to Canada after the two dreadful yet interesting years in Russia. St John’s Newfoundland has been my home away from home for the longest. May  be I should say the engineering faculty of  Memorial University has been my home for the longest. I completed my engineering degrees from here and started my career in St John’s Newfoundland. St John’s is immersed with its natural beauty and appears idyllic and pristine with a population of little over hundred thousand. The entire island has a heart and its people keep it alive and red. 8 years is a long time, and now I am poised to make a move again, but this time with my lovely wife towards the Canadian Capital city.
