A platform for providing sporting facilities and activities to the local community. 

Shia Sports is a self run charity that comes under the umbrella of Husseini Islamic Centre, Peterborough. A charity that has been running for over 15 years, still manages to generate memberships numbers of over 180. A dedicated voluntary team finds time to ensure that there is a service provided to all members of the community. An example of what happens in the sports club is providing men and boys with five aside and seven a side football on a weekly basis, ensuring that women c an swim in an all female environment, a crèche system for younger members while parents play volleyball, badminton, squash, netball and use of the gym all on a Saturday night. With membership fees and small donations Shia Sports manages to cover all sporting aspects of the community and even allows cricket tournaments, darts tournaments for the pensioners and the annual sporting tournament all to be played with good faith in providing the community with sporting facilities and activities.
