Sleepy Hollow Goes to Tuscany...Che Bello!

Benvenuti e buon viaggio a tutti!  From March 24th to April 1st, forty lucky and adventurous Sleepy Hollow High School students, along with some happy chaperones, will be traveling through Tuscany to visit some of the most renowned and most beautiful sights on the Italian peninsula.  This region was the scene of one of the most influential sustained artistic revolutions in history -- the Renaissance! -- and is famous for it's unparalleled collection of art, it's history and it's breathtaking landscape.  And it is the birthplace and home of Dante Alighieri, the author of La Divina Commedia and the 'father' of the Italian language -- the language learned and spoken today.  Entrate! Venite!  Come on in and look around the site and explore the photos and fun links that describe many of the places we'll be visiting on our trip together.  For those of you new to the Italian language, take some time to learn some helpful travel phrases and to discover some of the habits and customs of the Italian people.  And remember the old adage, 'when in Florence do as the Florentines do!'  Well, you know what I mean....
