Parents! Hello and welcome to the Young Church page. The Young Church comprises all the young people who would be pre-school and school age. For the Young Church on Sundays, we divide them into three groups.
The pre-school group and those in P1 are called the Storykeepers and they have a story read to them each week and then they create something to show what the story was about. You can usually see their work in the small hall after the Service.
The school age group are split into two groups, the Investigators (roughly P2-P6) who are led through the bible, week by week, using the "Roots” programme". This provides an ecumenical programme for young people. The second group for secondary age people is the group we call Reporters and they explore areas of life and faith. Our programme is led by parent and friends in that the children get to know the adult members of the church who take them through the programme each week. The co-ordinators are Marie Baird and Sara Abbott. Jacqueline Wilkie, the administrator in the church, does much of the organisation ensuring the leaders all know when they are required. Contact Sara, Marie or Jacqueline if you want to know more. Email us.

Kids! We have lots of games, crafts and activities planned. And we will be doing projects to help people in the world. Investigators: Come along and see what we have planned. It should be fun and we should learn a lot about God and ourselves. We want to do as many things as possible so we need people like you to come along and enjoy the Sunday mornings. If you are of secondary age, we would like you to join us in the Reporters Group that we can explore something of our Christian faith together. We hope to make it computer based so that it should be more interesting. Please come along and make this group a fun group. Follow the link to our own site: sherbrookekidz |
