Minister's Page

What does a minister do?

 It is a question that is often asked so let me answer it in this way. 

At some point in our lives we will all have attended a wedding, a funeral or possibly a service for baptism. That’s my job but it also includes being with the sick (at home or in hospital) and a bit of care for all people who need support at any point in their lives.I am the chaplain at Craigholme School (an Independent day School) within the parish and a fair bit of my time involves working on behalf of the Presbytery of Glasgow particularly in Ecumenical Affairs and Superintendence. 

The Services at our church are on Sunday 10.30 am and Thursday 10.00 am.  After both Services there is an opportunity for tea or coffee and a chat so please feel free to come along whenever you can.  We are a welcoming community and we seek to share our faith in God and our love of Christ with anyone who would like to engage with us. We are also part of the local community of churches: Pollokshields Churches Together.  If you are new to our area, or just a visitor to our web pages please consider visiting us and joining our community.

I can be found in the church any Sunday or Thursday morning when we have Services. You can get a hold of me at other times by phoning the office (0141 427 1968) or my home (0141 427 2094). If you want to arrange a wedding or you have to arrange a funeral please phone me as early as possible.
