October 1st 2011 Shaw karate members headed down to Haden Hill Leisure Centre, Cradley Heath for the SKF Kimura Cup Championships 2011.
This time we had 19 competitors some new to the competition other who had been before, all were nervous as some of the kids had moved up a groups because of age or amount of fighters in 1 event, despite that all competitors gave their best.
Special congratulations go to our medalists and winners, Bethanie Jardine 1st Place, Aaron Jordan 2nd Place, Luke Walster 2nd Place, Andrew Hall 2nd Place. A special thanks goes to the cadet boys team, this was a new event and the team did very well considering it was their first outing as a team.
We would like to thank our competitors for volunteering to enter the tournament, Luke Walster, Mohammed Uhayd, Usamah Mir, Mohammed Danish, Muhammad Dhanyaal, Jawad Khawaja, Mohammed Owais, Brad Jordan, Leon Whittaker, Saqib Mir, Aaron Walster, Bethanie Jardine, Alex Nealon, Aaron Jordan, Jamie Bowden, Andy Hall, Jackie Jordan, Ben Walster and Sensei Keith.

For the SKF nationals 2012 we hope to take more competitors and spectators. Training for the next competition starts now, and this time we hope to get some people entered into the Kata events as well and fighting.
