About ...This page illustrates the
features of a web based Ticket reservation system for the cinema theaters. I
did this project as my third year when I was studying Undergraduate Studies( 2007 ) in
University of Moratuwa. Then I keep all the
documents that i used to develop that project here for your knowledge.
When I started to develop the project theres are not enough materials for this
Topic. Thats why I put all the stuffs in the web. To keep the documents about
the system that will help when developing the system and to find conflict
requirements in the initial state and eliminate them with out worry about them
in the middle. The focused users are who wishes to save their time, instead of
wasting their time for searching the materials in the web. So please don't copy
all the stuffs. Just go through this and do it your own. Good Luck...... Functionalities...... 1 - Costumers can ask the availability of the tickets. In my system the costumers can select and reserve the seats. 2 - A Super user ( or an Administrator ) - who own the site administrative power. He has the high privilege level. He can change previews of the films which are currently available in the theater. Delete or add a user account and profiles. He will able to cancel the payments if the users will requisite. 3 - System consists of several dynamic web pages. There will be a page for system administrator who is responsible for maintaining the database tables. 4 - Only the administrator has the privilege to log on to that web page. 5 - Anonymous users would not be able to change any database table entry. 6 - System should be able to give latest information of on-going films with other relevant information. 7 - System will have the video and audio clips associated with the on-going films. 8 - System will have poling system associated with on-going films. So registered users have the power to poll about their opinions in the on-going films. 9 - If the registered user will wished to view a film he can pay the amount of the ticket and reserve a seat as he wished. System will have a dynamic page which shows the available seats in the theatre, so the registered users can easily identify the empty available seats. 10 - System will have an easy and secure dynamic payment page. This page helps the registered users to pay the appropriate amount through the credit card. ect.. ect...
