Below are the proposed and the submitted budgets for fiscal year 2013 - school year 2012-2013. The Budget guide is the first posting. The high schools sustained large cuts in these budgets. The pupil teacher ratio was raised to 24 to 1, in the calculations there was no adjustment made for planning periods which will mean the class size is actually larger. In addition all schools absorbed a $5,000 dollar increase in average teacher salary. High schools with projected lower enrollments saw a matching decline in funds. All budgets for this and the previous 2 years are also posted on the DCPS website at this address.
