my BLOG

a third-generation islander, I know all the nooks and crannies of Bainbridge and North Kitsap County.  My knowledge of local real estate is as deep as my familiarity with the wonderful character of this area.  My family was here as the lumber mills helped put Bainbridge on the map, and I grew up watching the community blossom.  Today, I can think of no better place to raise my family and I'm always excited to introduce newcomers to my beloved hometown.

in addition to my broker’s license, I am proud to hold a Certified Negotiation Expert® realtor credential.  This distinctive designation provides me with supplemental skills that give my clients an added advantage at contract time.  I also weave in eleven years’ worth of corporate marketing experience into every real estate transaction, so buyers and sellers know they’re working with a savvy professional.

engaging in a real estate transaction can be an emotional process for clients.  Having bought and sold many local homes myself, I understand that as well as anybody.  I also understand Bainbridge Island as well as anybody, which is why my customers consistently rave about the personal service I provide and the genuine enthusiasm I convey.

Bottom Line

whatever corner of the island I'm sharing or exploring, I am committed to local values.

Professional Credentials

cne ® (Certified Negotiation Expert) is a new Realtor®credential as of 2009. This designation deals specifically with negotiating strategies and styles. As a CNE, I have experience negotiating with all types of people, and can use this knowledge and experience when representing you at contract time. These credentials don’t come easily. Many hours of training are required and  proof of closed transactions.

"
My realtor, Shannon Dierickx, has been positive, proactive and most helpful throughout the entire real estate process.  Shannon shines with confidence, composure and a professional polish that is rarely seen in today's market.  Her  attention to detail and consummate knowledge of the local real estate market is refreshing.  She provided candid assessments when asked and promptly answered specific questions that required more in-depth inquiry on her part.  Shannon's coordination with other agents was flawless. Additionally, Shannon's personal touch in working with the other real estate agent involved in the final sale is most commendable, particularly in submitting the offer with her own personal note."  Another Happy Customer

"I just wanted to inform you of the great  experience I had last summer in working with Shannon Dierickx. In retrospect  it was the highlight of my year. Readily available, cheerful in all  weathers, never shirked a responsibility, or slacked on a deadline. The  transaction involved collection of her Sellers, 3 acres of land, and a lot of  issues.... all of which were resolved with in the contractual time  frame.  Shannon Dierickx = A+.

Forbes Selects Seattle As "BEST PLACE" For Real Estate Investors

seattle and it's suburbs (BAINBRIDGE ISLAND) land the No. 1 spot on the list of best places for home owners. The best cities in which to invest are those that are considered gateways to international investment, have vital downtowns where people can forgo cars, and don't have a glut of condos or office space.

the Urban Land Institute recently asked 700 real estate professionals to name the best places to invest in commercial real estate in the coming year. Those survey included private developers, Realtors and Real Estate Investment Trust executives. Their answers also apply to the residential market, since the single-family-home sector typically follows the economy. As wages go up and there are more jobs, more people can buy homes, pushing prices uphttp://www.forbes.com/realestate/2008/10/29/foreclosure-recession-cities-forbeslife-cx_dp_1029realestate.html

CNN's Money Magazine Rates Bainbridge Island in 2005 as #2 most desirable place to live in the US.

Seattle Metropolitan Magazine selects "Bainbridge Island as the best place to live as a commuter." 2008

if one is considering a move, Bainbirdge Island is the obvious choice. Your dollar go farther (big lots, plenty of of open space, parks galore, bustling  town, great schools, family-oriented community center.)

the Scene    Bainbridge Island has come a long way from its origins as a center for lumber milling and shipbuilding. Luxurious condos and quaint town homes have sprung up downtown and near the ferry dock. And though many of its homes are scattered amid firs and madronas, Bainbridge is  a tightly knit community, with plenty of gather spaces. Its small downtown commerce area is perfect for strolling and shopping. Many residents enjoy the fruits of wealth acquired in previous careers off-island or make the 35 minute ferry commute to Seattle. Their wealth, coupled with the island's large, semi-rural lots, makes Bainbridge a compelling proposition.

the Transformers    An abundance of wild outdoor space remains one of Bainbridge's biggest assets, and the island's parks and conservation areas are the result of years of aggressive action by the town government, in concert with the Bainbridge Islands Land Trust. Founded in the 1989 in response to the rapid development of the island, the trust has purchased conservation easements and worked with other agencies to buy land outright. The trust now holds 43 conservation easements comprising more than 700 acres. An additional 395 acres have been preserved through purchase with Land Trust assistance.
