Hello everyone! Today was basically an all day travel day. Those of us who are participating in the Opening Ceremonies tomorrow travelled from Dalian back to the Olympic village in Beijing today. Besides practice this morning, travel basically consumed our entire day. Being back to the village this time around was very different because there are WAY more people here now because of the opening ceremonies tomorrow. It is chaos everywhere here. We've been trying to look at all the people from different countries and guess which sports they play. Oh, and I ran into Lindsey Berg (former University of Minnesota volleyball player) in the laundry room of all places today. I love having a few Minnesota connections out here!
Tomorrow is a big day for us! If you haven't already heard, I am happy to say that Lopez Lomong, who I told you all about a couple of days ago, was chosen to be the flag bearer for the entire USA! We were all so excited to hear that so make sure that you guys look for him on tv tomorrow! And hopefully you will be able to catch a glimpse of me as well :-)
Some random pictures from practice and from the airports today:
We took a picture with all of the people who volunteer to help us at practice in Dalian every day.
Miguel Pate (long jumper) and Wallace Spearmon (200 meter)
Ok, I'm off to bed. Hopefully tomorrow night I will be able to add some of my pictures from the ceremonies, I can't wait!!!
