Theatre with love A dynamic amateur theatre group in Finland that is always open to new players: Shakespeare's Children. Later on the group has become a course in Tampereen Työväenopisto with Dilek as the teacher. Since then Shakespeare's Children has staged an English play every spring. Group named itself to Shakespeare's Children as male players also joined in beginning with the second play. Shakespeare's Children now is a drama course in Tampere City's Työväenopisto. It is also an International Theatre group that is freshly formed every autumn. A lot of people has experienced theatre in this group. Shakespeare's Children has performed 9 plays since year 2003: Lysistrata, David and Bath Sheba, Death of Xiang Yu, Midas's Ears, Dona Rosita, Peace, The Doctor In Spite of Himself, Hamlet- The Prince of Denmark and finally last year Caesar and Cleopatra. If you like to experience and enjoy amateur theatre activity in a supportive and friendly atmosphere, Welcome! No early acting experience is required and there is no age limit. The principle of the group is positivity, encouragement and letting everyone bring out his/her creativity freely. It is open to everyone who is interested in theatre.
