Hello Everyone,

                  My name is Shahira Sadek and will be turning 50 next month (ISA). I am Egyptian with one daughter, who is an existential psychotherapist (24 years old) and two college student sons Ibrahim and Omar (21 and 20 years old).

I graduated in 1983 majoring in Economics and minoring in Mathematics from AUC (The American University in Cairo). I have been teaching ever since graduation, except for the four years I stayed at home to take care of my new borns, and two other years for health problems. My teaching experience sums up to twenty-two years, all spent in Cairo, at three different schools and one private university. I taught a variety of subjects (Math, Statistics, Economics, Business Studies, Sociology, History, Global Studies and Geography) to numerous grade levels (KG2, 5,6,9,10,11 and 12) and following different educational systems (National, British and American).

                 This year I am teaching three grade 12 Economics classes and one grade 12 Global Studies class. Besides, I am the Head of Social Studies Department and have recently been assigned the duties of a member of the School Curriculum Committee.
