The official site of the
Philadelphia Shabbat Potluck Coalition
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re checking out our potluck community. Once a month Philadelphia Jews of all ages and beliefs come together to form a community around something we all enjoy—food! Our potluck is a way to have a delicious Shabbat meal in good company. An easy way to eat with people you know and meet new people as well. We believe that a potluck is a microcosm of a healthy community—without each person’s contribution of food and self we wouldn’t be a meal and we wouldn’t be a community. Because of this we try to make our community work as much as possible through the donations from community members. Alone each one of us is only as strong as a broccoli kugel, together we are a meal. So that everyone can participate fully we have developed some guidelines. You can check them out at “How to be Potlucky”. We also maintain an email list so that everyone is informed about when the next potluck is. You can subscribe by writing to us at shabbat.potluck@gmail.com All of our potlucks take place at the second floor of BZBI, 300 South 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA
