Music is happening in the classroom and we are taking advantage of the new Smart Board resources available to use in the music classroom.
 
Currently, grades 4 through 8 are brushing up on their knowledge of Beat and Rhythm.  We have been:
  • Reading, writing, and performing basic rhythm patterns;
  • Identifying note values;
  • Working on keeping a steady tempo while performing rhythmic ostinatos;
  • Identifying measures and bar lines;
  • Clarifying music terminology such as beat, rhythm, meter, measure.

 

 
Grade four has begun Recorder Karate and is currently working on Hot Cross Buns.
 
 
Grades  5 and 6 have a quiz on November 4.
 
 
 
    Practice for the Christmas show has begun!
