I have played the piano since I was a young child, and music has always been an important part of my life. It has taken me many places, including all over Texas and Europe as a member of orchestras, jazz groups, steel drum ensembles, piano and percussion ensembles, and as a solo pianist. I received a scholarship to study music at Texas Tech University, where I received my degree in Music with an emphasis in piano and percussion.
I have taught private piano lessons for eight years, and for the last four I taught group piano classes comprised of students aged 5-14 as part of the 21st Century Project, a program designed to put the arts back into public schools.
Up until recently I have been working on my Master's degree in Musicology at Texas Tech University, until my husband and I got news that he would be doing his residency in Family Medicine at JPS hospital here in Fort Worth. We are excited about the new big city life and I am especially excited about my new students and sharing my love of music with them.
