Appraisal of Nipponto (Japanese Swords)

Instant sword appraisals by our Sensei ( Teacher )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Sensei has been providing the instant and accurate sword appraisals for the general public since 1980, the official year of the establishment of the San Francisco Nipponto  Society ( SFNS ).  Countless numbers of Japanese sword enthusiasts & collectors
have benefited from his expertise in the Japanese sword study field.

Our Sensei can provide the instant Mei ( Sword inscription ) reading without using any notes, dictionary or books for reference.

The Mei is the inscribed message that is placed on the Tang of the blade by the Katana-kaji ( swordsmith ).  Our Sensei can read 99 % of the Mei of any Japanese blade at first
glance.   During the 2 day weekend local gun show, antique show or military show, the sword owners & enthusiassts are able to bring their swords, in person, for instant sword appraisals ( involving the Mei reading)  performed by our Sensei.

It is not necessary to send your swords for brief Kantei ( Appraisals ).  If other so-called sword experts or members of sword clubs are asking to send your swords by mail to them, beware!
You might not be able to see your sword any more.  If you need the official Kantei (Appraisal), send only the photos of your swords, not the precious swords themselves!

If the so-called sword expert is asking you to wait for few days to one week for your sword appraisals, be suspicious !  He is most likely incompotent.  He will be asking the Japanese person how to read the inscription and get back to you for a few days later.  If no instant appraisals or Mei reading is given to you instantly, he is bogus, or simply a pretender to Japanese sword study.
Watch out !  Watch out !  Watch out !

Our Sensei provides the free appraisals and Mei reading for the official members of SFNS ( San Francisco Nipponto Society ).  You must rember that the free appraisals are limited to the official SFNS members.  The newcomers to our SF Sword Society are always welcomed.   Our Sensei has many students both in the US and in Japan.

60 to 80 % of our information are not found anywhere in the world.
Our Sensei translated the information from the Japanese masters via verbal communication directly in the past 3 decades.  We give no recycled information!  Our information is updated and upgraded by our Sensei every month.  Our Sensei is the Japanese historian, sword appraiser, sword expert and Japanese language expert.

We have scheduled the following classes at our Dojo ( Martial Art School ) in San Francisco.
When you become a member, you do not need an appointment in order to visit us during those days & hours for your free sword appraisals:

1.  Weekly sword study meeting / Every Friday from 7 PM to 9 PM

2.  Monthly sword restoration class on Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM

The Dojo address will be provided when you become an official member.

Or, as a member, you can visit us by scheduling an appointment on any weekday morning.

While the best way to conduct an appraisal is in person with our Sensei, since in that case the sword itself can be examined, the Society understands this is not always possible, for various location/travel issues. In this case, photos of your sword can be sent to the Society, for a free appraisal, once SFNS membership has been approved.
