Citation - To honor those who have served honorably in the Armed Forces in an active combat arena.

Criteria - This award is to honor those SFI Region One members who have served their in their country's armed forces and was involved in a combat, war zone or other military engagement that actually put their life on the line in their service of their country. Members need only supply honorable information that includes details of their military service (include combat engagements)
This is awarded once annually.

Ribbon - red, white, & blue

Device - Gold M  and small silver stars for each additional military campaign

SGM Ken Miller - USS Revelation - Ken has served much of his life in the United States Army. After he retired from the Army, he joined the Tennessee National Guard and served in Operation Desert Storm. When the Iraq war started, Ken again enlited and served two tours in Operation Desert Scorpion with the Tennessee National Guard in Iraq. Ken served on the 278th Combat team as the gunner on a Hummvee during his tours and saw a considerable amount of action. During his duty, he injured his back and was disabled preventing him from returning for a third tour of duty in Afghanastan. The Hummvee that Ken's team drove was called "Kronos 1" and bore a Klingon trifoil on it that Ken had painted, his was of bringing a little Star Trek to the middle east.(201105.14)
