Welcome

Hello from St. Francis House Episcopal Student Center! We are the campus ministry serving the Episcopal/Anglican students, faculty, and staff of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We seek to be a welcoming place for all people to come together in Christ, claim their ministries, and create community. Join us throughout the year for worship, fellowship, spiritual community, study groups, theological discussion, and more.

Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself on your journey of faith, you are welcome here.

Getting Involved

There are lots of opportunities to get involved at St. Francis House. Most importantly, you can worship with us at a Sunday or Tuesday Holy Eucharist or pray the Daily Office at  student-led prayer services throughout the week (see the Building Access page for information about getting into St. Francis House for Daily Office services). We gather together to share a meal after the Sunday and Tuesday services--Sundays in our dining room for a meal cooked by students or area Episcopal churches and Tuesdays at Memorial Union for pizza and informal discussion we call "Theology on the Terrace." If you've got time after Monday or Thursday Morning Prayer, consider sticking around for coffee before heading off to your 8:50 class.

We're always looking for students interested in helping lead worship, activities, and community life. We are a UW-Madison Registered Student Organization, and our Student Board leadership team is open to everyone (not just Episcopalians and other Christians). We also currently have openings in our residential program for the 2009-2010 school year, so contact us to set up a visit if you're interested in living in an intentional Christian community located at the heart of campus.
