Hey Guys, Check it out...

I love this song (Toby Mac)

I don't wanna gain the whole world and lose my soul... Mat 16:26

There are new Ads on Metro Buses, that say : "Why Believe in God, Just be Good For Goodness sake"
This is an effort from the Humanist group to bring agnostics and atheists together for the Christmas season.
(Rreference: http://www.myfoxdc.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail;jsessionid=E22E65ECE53F68F2C932DB05F85365A5?contentId=7842382&version=2&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=1.1.1&sflg=1 )

American Family Aociation (AFA) president Tim Wildmon responded by saying: "It's a stupid ad," he continued by saying. "How do we define 'good' if we don't believe in God? God in his word, the Bible, tells us what's good and bad and right and wrong. If we are each ourselves defining what's good, it's going to be a crazy world."

This Post election world so far has had some bad news and some followers willing to believe that the Change described by the then Presidential -candidate was this level of change. A change to question belief and bring about a freedom to the people, when in reality it is chaining them to the world while they question what is left of their soul.

Reflecting back on Matthew 16:26 :What good would it be if a man gained the whole word, yet forfeits his soul?

There are many things that we can do to respond and be proactive, starting with living our Christian lives transparently, openly and joyfully. Don't hide that light under the table, but witness for Christ everywhere you go. We can help at Crisis Pregnancy centers, at Food distribution centers and shelters. Most importantly we can pray for our leaders, our country, all those we know and the unborn.

And don't fret, there is also astounding good news in the Pro Life/ Pro Family arena and its better for us to keep spreading the news that the real tide that is rising, is the tide that brings in God's love to all the world.

The Pro-Life movement is more than just fighting abortion, it is about defending life to its fullest and openly taking actions that are good and right in the face of God for the whole world to see.

God Bless

HOPE and CHANGE

Taken From Choose Life Blog:

HOPE

Is not your fear of God your confidence, and the integrity of your ways your hope? Job 4:6

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation. Psalm 42:5

For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Psalm 71:5

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word. Psalm 119:114

CHANGE

He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding . . . Daniel 2:21

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51

For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52

Reality

When the election results first came in,
I was honestly discouraged and somewhat upset.

When I arrived at work and everyone was smiling and greeting me with words of congradulations, I felt reserved, anti-social and ill.

When I drove home and prayed, then those feelings passed. And they passed because I realized that no matter what happens, no matter who the president is or what bills and policies are out there, its the individual people that I have been called to share God's great news and light for the world.

God hasn't left us, or abandoned us, He hasnt gone into hiding or decided to play a little joke on the world, instead He is offering us an oppurtunity to do as President-elect Obama has been saying: To Make A Change.

Barrack Obama's speech in Chicago rings true for our mission as well as Christians in this secular world. This Night, and This Moment, Amerca has changed. And the great thing about change is, it never really stops and its not really suppose to and most importantly is never controlled by anyone but only defined in God's great wisdom.

So go ahead and celebrate, go ahead and move forward with your work for the Lord, and you'll notice this time around that there are thousands more behind you all reaching for the same thing, all heading to the same place and all ready for the Lord's command.

Amen.

What can the President do anyways?

A president has the ability to keep a congress in check when they try passing crazy anti-life laws. And the ability to appoint the Chief Justices, which at least three may potentially be replaced in the next Presidential term, and if they were anti-life supporters, could rule on larger US supreme court decisions that would prevent an overturn on things such as roe vs wade.

Hence the term "vote for life" and not vote for some candidate.. its holistic and at the same time important to realize everything else that goes into the equation.

A president that is unwilling to defend life, can just as easily not be a strong push on the issue when the time comes to guide this country's morals and values.. at the end of the day, all voting individuals have the power to choose someone that can guide the country well, and choose someone that can choose moral folks to pass judgment in the supreme court.

On a side note, policies such as "global gag rule/Mexico City Policy" are in fact within the power of the executive branch. So for example, if overturned, would allow tax dollars to go to IPPF for coerced sexual sterilization and abortion programs overseas.
