Did You Know?

Walt Hoffman built the “mini-house facade” display that was used at the St Francis  ministry fair back in Sep. After the fair Walt donated this display to Habitat.

Check out these links to see how Habitat has been putting this great display to good use.

See it behind David Crabtree for the Holiday Home tour.

They even make the house display available for Mission Fairs.

And don’t miss this one on their Apostles Build page (toward the bottom).

What:

What if I have more questions?
Contact  Bob & Diane Steinbeiser! (846-8026)

What to bring?
  • Sturdy closed-toe shoes appropriate for construction work
  • Appropriate dress for a day outdoors in a dirty environment, dressing in layers would be a good idea.
  • Avoid loose fitting or baggy clothes and jewelry for safety reasons
  • Sunscreen and/or mosquito repellent depending on the weather and season
  • Basic tools if you have them (gloves, hammer, tape measure, tool belt, pencil), if not don't worry.  It is suggested that all personal tools be clearly marked with the owners name!
What experience do I need to have?
Any construction experience is helpful, of course, but none is required.  We'll teach you all you need to know!

What about Lunch?
  • Lunch will be provided at the end of the early shift on Saturdays (8:15-12:00).  Those working the late shift on Saturday should arrive ready to work by 12:30.
  • No lunch will be provided on weekday build dates so please bring your own.

What about drinks?
Water will be available at the work site, bring your own container or anything else that you would like to drink.

What if it rains?
Habitat has a weather hotline at: 833-1999 X240, call to check if the work day has been canceled.
If your day is canceled, please contact Bob & Diane to reschedule.  Please DON"T just show up at the next available work day as this could cause too many people to be on the work site.
