(from John Budway) This was a busy workday for the volunteers from St. Francis of Assisi. We had 9 SFA volunteers (and no one from any other organization) who worked all morning on the second floor of the Apostles Build home. We were joined in the afternoon for a few hours by a group from a Pilates class. We built and installed OSB siding on two second-floor walls and built and sided a third wall which was to be installed by the crew who worked on Saturday. We also removed two short walls which had been installed the previous weekend so that one of the side walls could be installed more easily. Many in our crew had never built nor covered a wall so this was a good learning opportunity with Matt as our construction leader. |
