Entrepreneurs! : NOW is the time!

Bootstrapping a business TODAY.

On April 2nd, prepare to have all your business questions answered.  If you feel knowledge is holding you back in your business, keeping you from driving more sales, lowering your costs, creating new products, or marketing your current ones, this is the premier event for you.  We've assembled a panel of 5 individuals, but not just any panel of 5.  We've brought together 5 experts in 5 industries: marketing, accounting, law, management, and entrepreneurship, for a no-holds barred, gloves off, let's get right to the bottom of the barrel, question and answer session, that will be the most valuable two hours of your life.  AND - we'll begin the first twenty minutes with a top-notch keynote speaker from our local community!  Networking after.  Parking will be extremely limited, please park acrsos the street at the WCC main campus.  All welcome!

Sesi Midwest Entrepreneurship Conference: February 13, 2009 at EMU

Join EMU for the "Journey to Success" at the Sesi Midwest Entrepreneurship Conference Feb. 13, 2009. The conference is open to all EMU faculty, staff and students, as well as community college and high school students and faculty that have curriculum centered on entrepreneurship. The conference is open to all EMU faculty, staff and students, as well as community college and high school students and faculty that have curriculum centered on entrepreneurship. Presented by the Collegiate Entrepreneur's Organization (CEO) of EMU, the event is in its 12th year.
Networking along with a continental breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. followed by opening remarks and with a featured opening speaker. Two breakout sessions highlight the conference with a question and answer segment following each speaker. A sit-down lunch follows and the conference concludes with the closing speaker. The Business Plan competition will start immediately after the key note speaker concludes.
 
The event is free but registration is required.

If you are a WCC student with a business of your own, even if it is part-time, spread the word at the Fall 2008 Student Enterprise Celebration.
When?   Tuesday, December 16th, from 6:00 to 7:00pm
 
Where?  In the lobby of the Towsely Auditorium of the Morris Lawrence Building right here on campus.
Applications are available in BE 200.   The $5.00 non-refundable registration fee must be received no later than Thursday, December 13 in the Student Activities Office on the main floor of campus.   (Scholarships are available.)

Come learn the “basics” of starting a business and what it takes to make that business profitable.  Geoff Henny, a serial entrepreneur and co-char of the SEZ Advisory Board will explain with Cheryl Gracie, WCC faculty member,  not only the “mechanics” for starting a business, but what it takes to create a profitable one.
