Murals by Seymour Fogel

During his life, Seymour Fogel created more than 20 major murals throughout the United States.

As a nationally recognized artist and leveraging the skills he honed working with Diego Rivera and others, Seymour Fogel's murals were constructed in high-profile locations including Federal Buildings in Washington, D.C., New York, and Fort Worth. Additionally, Seymour Fogels' murals also adorne U.S. Post Offices, educational institutions, and churches. Fogel used ethyl silicate (a process he pioneered in the 1950s), glass and tile mosaics, oil paint on canvas and other multi-media forms to convey this award-winning style. Below are several examples of Seymour Fogel's work. Without question, Fogel is a WPA titan. We strongly encourage others to share images of murals around the country created by Seymour Fogel.
