Prayer for mothers...
Good and Gentle God, we pray in gratitude for our mothers and for all the women of theory who have joined with you in the wonder of bring forth new life.  You who became human through a women, grant to all mothers the courage they need to face the uncertain future that life with children always brings.
Give them the strength to live and to be loved in return, not perfectly, but humanly.
Give them joy and delight in their children to sustain them through the trials of motherhood.
Most of all, give them the wisdom to turn to you for help when they need it most.
Amen.

Prayer to Mary for mothers...
Sweet and Blessed Mother, guide our mothers that they may lead us to Your son, just as you have shown us. May they imitate Your love and devotion.  May we in return also be loving, patient, understanding and supportive to our mothers.  Blessed Mother, we pray for all mothers - our own, our aunts, our grandmothers...the living and the departed.  Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee.  Blessed art thou amongst women, Blessed in the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death.
Amen

To honor the service of Mother Teresa and to gain inspiration to serve others, we listen to her prayer...
DEAR JESUShelp me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my wholebeing so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.

Bible Versus for mothers...

Trust...
Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Love...
1 Corinthians 13:1-8a  If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Parenting...
Proverbs 22:6  Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
Matthew 18:12-14 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.”
3 John 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Friendship...
Philippians 3:17  Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you.
1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Strength of a Wife...

Proverbs 31:10-31  A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
