Sara E. Scanga

I am a Ph.D. candidate at SUNY-ESF in Syracuse, NY (dissertation successfully defended, expected graduation in December 2009).  I am interested in plant and wetland ecology and rare plant conservation.

For my dissertation research, I investigated the population ecology and conservation of Trollius laxus (spreading globeflower), a rare wetland wildflower.

I am currently working with John Stella (SUNY-ESF), examining seedling establishment patterns along riverbanks.
