CRITICAL ISSUES! 2009 Women's Health Symposium Organized by the SERV Team and the Global Health Initiative, the 2009 Women's Health Symposium aims to highlight and discuss the health of women around the world and its vital importance in the improvement of the health of populations as a whole. Emphasis will be on the role of education and poverty in the health outcomes of women. Furthermore, speakers will address various risk factors that affect women's health. The Women's Health Symposium 2009 will bring together experts in the field from the university and around the nation to engage students and faculty in a discussion concerning women's health locally, nationally, and internationally. The invited speakers and local organization representatives will not only address issues concerning women's health, but they will also provide avenues through which students may take action in improving the quality of women's health around the globe. The event will be held from 9:30AM-2PM on Saturday, February 21 at the Hale Center. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. There will also be giveaways and a networking session with the speakers and community organizations. RSVPs are recommended but NOT required to attend.
