Home Care
While you are away... Security and Home Care
Thorough Home Security Checks: Will you be away from home for a few days or longer? Seren will care for
your home while you are gone. Inspection of indoor and outdoor home security, plumbing and appliances will
be conducted.
Indoor and Outdoor Plant care: Plants can make a house a home and also improve our air quality. We will
take care of your indoor and outdoor plants as you require.
Mail and Paper Pick up : We will pick up your mail and papers, and keep, dispose or recycle as you wish.
House sitting and/or Pet sitting: If needed, we are able to stay at your home for periods of time. Loving
pet care can be provided in your home or ours.
Serious Stuff: It is important that you check with your insurance agent on the policy requirements for the care of your home while you are away. Thermostat temperatures and frequency of home checks could affect your coverage.
Gardening and Landscape Maintenance
Protect the investment you have made in your garden and landscaping, we will get it back into shape for
you and help you keep it that way. Please note: we are able to maintain your landscaping, we are not
"landscapers".
Home Maintenance and Repairs.
Keep up on the small jobs before they get out of hand. Seren can help you with painting, repairs & minor home
improvements.
Downsizing and Moving Preparing and Planning Your Move Once the decision to move has been made, preparing and planning must be done to ensure a smooth
transition for all involved. Is your home a rental or will it be put up for sale? Where will your next home be?
Seren can help you get moving by preparing your home for sale, and assist you with all of the details of
planning your move.
Sorting and Downsizing Moving from one home to another gives us the opportunity to go through everything we own. What do you
want or need to keep, and what to sell, pass on to family or friends, donate to charity or throw out. Seren can
assist you with sorting, downsizing and disposal of unwanted items.
Coordination of Services The coordination of services can be overwhelming. Seren can contact charities for pick-up, coordinate
movers and assist with utility appointments.
Change of Address and Utilities With your permission, we will assist you in all change of addresses and utilities.
Packing It's pretty simple: you decide whether you want to purchase packing boxes or re-use store boxes. (The
money saved on new boxes could be spent on a good bottle of wine... but that's only a suggestion.) We can
pick them up for you. We will carefully pack your possessions, and label the boxes for easy access once you
move.
Unpacking and Set-Up of Your New Home
Getting settled quickly is important for kids right through to people in their golden years. Seren can help by
getting those boxes unpacked, things organized, put away, help with set-up and placement of furnishings and
even hang pictures so you can get back to the more important things in life. We can even take care of recyling
the boxes and packing materials for you. (And if you used previously used boxes, you can smile when we
recycle them.)
Cleaning and Minor Repairs Isn't it amazing (and sometimes embarrassing) how much fluff and dirt you find when you move out of your
home! Well, we can take care of the cleaning of all of that and do minor repairs in preparation for the new
owners or tennants.
Home Support Services Meal Preparation or Delivery
Seren will be happy to come into your home to prepare nutritious and delicious meals for you or your family
or even organize and cook for a special celebration. Dini has training in nutrition and is comfortable working
with special diets. She also has experience in cooking some ethnic foods and would love to
recreate your favourite recipes for you. Services include planning menus, shopping for groceries, preparing
food, serving meals and clean-up. Dini and Don also have their Food Safe Certificates. If you would prefer to
enjoy the food of a favourite local restaurant in your own home, we would be happy to make arrangements
for that to happen as well.
Housekeeping
For seniors, people of various abilities and busy people. If keeping your house clean and tidy is a challenge,
let Seren give you a hand. We can do anything from regular or occaisional cleaning of your home
to walls, windows and appliances. Do you need help with your laundry and changing of linens? Maybe you
need help sorting and organizing the contents of a closet. Whatever you need help with, just ask and we will
do our best to meet your needs.
Transportation to Appointments & Social Functions For people with places to go, things to do and people to see! It may be a doctor appointment, a
community event or club activity, airport service or simply a visit with a friend or family member.... we
can help you live life to the fullest by taking care of your transportation needs.
Companionship For yourself or your loved ones. People just can't be everywhere at once. Maybe your family member lives
out of town, and your would like to ensure that their needs for companionship are met. Home visits,
coordination of visits with friends, and companionship on outings or for travel are services that Seren can
provide.
Shopping & Errands Keeping up with shopping and errands can be a challenge. Whether you need an assistant in doing these
chores or would like us to do them for you, it's your choice! Let's get that chore list done. Seren's people are not authorized to administer medications, provide personal care or any other service normally requiring the care of a skilled health care professional. |
