Trooper Series; Veteran Horse Series; The Quest - details

   

The Gold Series for the Trooper Trophy

 

This competition is open to SERC Gold Series Horse and Rider combinations, or those combinations who are at the correct stage of grading to enter the Ride and continue grading while participating.

 

Highest total of ride points from the following nominated rides wins.

 

    •  Seacliff – 80kmER – 16th June
    • Red Rock Challenge – 80kmER – 7th July
    • Scottish Championships -  80kmER – 18th August
    • Highland Fling - 80kmCR - 23rd September
 
YOUNG RIDER's TROOPER SERIES
 

This competition is open to SERC Gold Series Horse and Young Rider combinations, or those combinations who are at the correct stage of grading to enter the Ride and continue grading while participating.

 

Highest total of ride points from the following nominated rides wins

 

    • Seacliff – 80kmER – 16th June
    • Red Rock Challenge – 80kmER – 7th July
    • Scottish Championships -  80kmER – 18th August
    • Highland Fling - 80kmCR - 23rd September
 

 

VETERAN HORSE - 50km - SERIES - for horses 16 years and over
to be competed for over the following series of nominated rides
 
    • Dalriada - 13th May 
    • Nine Stanes - 15th July
    • Tillicoultry – 5th August
    • West Linton - 16th September

Rider points awarded as normal but in addition each combination will receive points based on the Performance Formula which will acrue over the series of 5 and combination with most points will get the trophy.  If more than 1 combination on same score they will share trophy.

 
The Performance Formula points are purely for working out winners of the trophy

Points = (2 x Speed – Minimum Speed) x 100

THE QUEST - 2 day 80km SERIES
 
To be competed for over the following series of nominated rides
 
    • Eildon 26/27 May
    • Clatt 23/24 June
    • Broughton 7/8 July
    • Scottish Championships 18/19 August
