¿Qué pasa en las clases de español?
Español 2:
We are now moving on to our second unit of the year. The topic is leisure and our specific theme for the unit is : "Un Día en la Ciudad" (A Day in the City). In this unit, students will be able to:
- Discuss things to do and see in a city
- Make comparisons between cities in the United States and cities in Spanish-speaking countries
- Discuss fine art (including Spanish artists and artistic movements)
- Talk about a trip that they took to an art museum
- Talk about a meal that they ate at a restaurant
- Express their preferrences, likes and dislikes
In this unit our vocabulary will be divided into three sections: a day in the city, a trip to the art museum, eating at a restaurant. Some of the grammar concepts that will be focused on are: stem-changing verbs in the present tense, verbs with infinitives, use of gustar, demonstrative adjectives, and lastly the preterit tense ofestar, tener, poner, traer, venir, decir.
Español 1:
We are working on our second unit, Education. In this unit students will be able to talk about their school schedules and items that belong in schools. We will begin working on present-tense verb conjugations.
