SENOL SAK,s ARTWORKS
Senol Sak has started his efforts founded upon his academically training, using the known and the unknown of his unique art style inspired by the nature with his admiration to it. Later to develop towards his recent paintings which reflect the intensive thought interpretations .Further his exploration of his art formulae “gained recognition in found expression in “fish form”which he expressed the clear interpretation with rich colours and interactive harmonious motifs . “I wish I was a fish in a bottle of Raki”. Well known phrase in Turkish modern literature of expression of the desire to be encapsulated within the certain nationally celebrated sprit of Raki resembles in his presentation of the “fish” in different forms in dynamic compositions which brings forward to the surface of the depths. There is hardly any aspect of nature remains that the artists have not paid interest and explored or touched with their brushes . The subject is the reason in this adventure and exploration of the nature . Sometimes his calligraphical text on the surfaces resembles the unique scale of the particular species own characteristics achieved with motives and the lines. Prof, Erol ÖZDEN march/1998

SENOL SAK,s art…
Senol Sak is an amazing artist. His numerous galleries of fish and ocean life are as prolific and diverse as the sea itself.
The colorful and painterly fish have a personality and life all their own, with bountiful styles, shapes and sizes. The brush strokes are lush and some paintings have writings incorporated into the piece. We, as viewers, are welcome regulars in Sak's underwater world. Sak's paintings, engravings and prints have captured the fancy of many collectors... as he is recognized internationally in exhibits and art collections , as well as loved and respected by his many art students.
Watercolor, acrylic , oil, drawing, engraving ... and the printing process itself are all mastered by this talented artist as we await his next school of fish! Bravo, Senol Sak!

CRITIQUE of Artwork by "SENOL SAK"..
SENOL SAK is an artist/educator currently living and working in Bolu, Turkey, whose style and artwork may best be described using adjectives such as vibrant, playful, and expressive. Thru his work, Senol Sak, allows each of us to explore the oceans and seas without a snorkel and mask. Whether the image has been created with watercolor, print, oil, gouache, mixed media or drawing, the subject will literally be seen “swimming” through a sea of color created by energetic line orat times the actual scientific nomenclature or textual references to the unique type of sea life portrayed. Each image provides the viewer with a sense joy and amazement at the immensely incredible bounty and variety of life found in the oceans and seas. One cannot view his work without discovering that you have a smile on your face and even those who have lived and worked near water for years will find his work to embody a sense of wonder at his ability to create individual portraitures for each creature he has selected to depict in his composition. His willingness to explore a wide variety of media allow Senol Sak to incorporate into his images a sense of fluid movement and life. Each image is unique, just as each creature has its own individual characteristics captured in the stroke of the artist’s brush. On of the most notable qualities of this artist’s work are the diverse textures–both invented and simulated, which are employed as fins, scales and tails become “real” enough to touch. Abstracted versions of the fish, turtle or sea urchin, which once more allude to a sense of discovery and awe seen only thru the eyes of children.
