Welcome to the Southeast Guilford Middle School Bands website. Our program is developed around pride, respect, and excellence. Students in this program work hard to learn many musical skills, perform for the community, and create many great memories. We currently have 249 students in sixth- through eighth-grades who participate in three concert bands, a Jazz Ensemble, a Percussion Ensemble, and a Pep Band. Eighth grade students recieve multiple opportunities to perform with the high school program next door to us, where we graduate our students to Southeast Guilford High School. There, the students receive the opportunity to perform in a superior-rated program under the direction of Mr. Jeremy Ray. The SEMS program hosts many college interns and student teachers who all receive the opportunity to develop their teaching skills while providing additional learning opportunities to SEMS band students.
