• Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in Tuebingen University, Germany and published Tuebingen University Malayalam Manuscript Series (5 volumes) and Hermann Gundert Series (8 volumes)

• Research professor in BenZvi Institute, the Hebrew University, Jerusalem and published a volume of Jewish Malayalam Folk songs (with Hebrew translation) titled Karkuzhali/'yefefia'.

• Delivered invited lectures at Harvard University, Oxford University, Cornell University, Syracuse University, Maryland University and American Library of Congress.
