5 beers + 3 shots of whiskey = montford drive hand signs. yes i know this is backwards and says DM, not MD, it is still i a work in progress.  also, we couldn't really agree on how to make the "M".   i hung out with 3 teachers (that i don't work with) tonight, which was kind of odd.  one of them took this picture.   i also met a kid who graduated from my school like 2 years ago.

Today was my first teacher work day.  later i went out.  when i got home i discovered this crazy ant convention going on at the curb in front of my house.  what could they possibly have been so interested in?

I tried to  take some pictures off the roof of the parking deck at work today, but it was too dark.  the first picture of is of the top of one of the buildings.  the second picture retouched to make it easier to see.  i'm not sure which picture i like better.

tongiht i made 2x as much in tips than another server.   went to mickeys and played worst game of pool ever.  they claim this place is a dlei, but it's hard to image circumstances in which someone would volunarily eat here.  

side note: as a bartender, i could clean up at micky's

Played shuffleboard with the ballerinas tonight.  we kind of made up our own rules and didn't put any quarters in the machine, so there were little speedbumps in the middle of the table, but it was really fun.  they also tried to explain darts to me, but i didn't really get it.

worked today.  walked to therapy to meet a friend, but it was too crowded.   downtown charlotte has a lot of neat looking fountains.  did someone put soap in this one?

 I got this backpack to wear when i go places on my bike.  today i put beer in it and rode to meghan's.  i never realized before that while the ride to her house is almost all downhill, the ride home is almost exclusively up hill.  luckly we went to the bar later, so i only had to ride home from there.  today was probably the first time i ridden a bike in 15 years, i did ok; i didn't fall off, but i didn't  go very straight or fast either.

i tried to take a picture tonight, but the camera wouldn't turn on, so i decided that the battery must be dead.  when i got home i learned that the door to the battery was open a little bit and that's why the camera wouldn't work.  so i took a picture of Mittens instead.

Here's the invitation for the party i didn't get to go to.  i worked tonight.  the hotel's owners were in town.  this meant that we had to stay open 2 extra hours.  i left work after 12 and was too hot, tired, and smelled like italian food  to go to a party.  on the plus side, i made a lot of money.

It was really really hot today.  I left some groceries in my car from the day before.  I never ever by soda, but I wanted some caffeine and 12 packs were on sale.  did i mention it was hot today?  while my car was parked at the top of the parking deck, 2 cans exploded inside my car.  several more exploded in my yard and 2 exploded in my face. i rinsed everything off in a recycle bin.  if you look closely, you can see how distorted the can are.
