The Seichou School was founded in the summer, 2005, for the purpose of helping people who want to explore the Japanese language.  Studying Japanese opens the door to a greater understanding of the people and culture of Japan.

The word 'seichou' means 'progress.'  The study of Japanese should be considered a journey -- a process; the name of the School reflects its purpose to serve students as they progress in their individual study.  The school also incorporates the cultural dimensions of Japan that give the language its real meaning.

The primary goal at Seichou is to give students the tools they need to confront the challenges of language development on their own.   Courses are flexibly designed to match the growth of each unique student.

Many people in Central Kentucky would like to learn Japanese but do not know how to start.  Classes and tutoring services at the  Seichou School can get you over that initial step and beyond.

There is a place for everyone in Seichou School classes.  You are welcome to visit one or two classes to get familiar with their structure and process.  Please join us soon.
