To enter the page to vote for OSA members, go to: http://orissasociety.org/DOLA/vote/index.php?aud=AllMem A member can vote at most once on any (authenticated) poll. The voter is required to login (same as your DOLA credentials). The following graphics show what a typical voter could see upon logging into the voting site. Here it shows 3 polls visible for the user. The very first one displays a poll you can still vote on -- you get to chose one of the basic particles. The next two polls include one that has expired and another that has closed where you already have voted. The radio buttons imply exclusive choices. Sometimes multiple-choice polls are presented where you could select more than one option. The line on top of the poll box shows poll expiration (remaining days in bracket) information. If a view results link is available, you can see the vote tally (perhaps even before you vote the poll). By clicking the link Send Comment, if available, you get to additionally send your comment/opinion to the poll administrator. Also note that usually, the current vote tally is shown after you vote, but sometimes the administrator may turn-off that display to avoid showing the tally until the expiration date -- a blind system. There are several privacy and security elements implemented. If a vote is marked confidential by the administrator, all association of vote with the voter is one-way (or hash) encrypted. Number of votes per poll: If you are a family member eligible for two votes, you will get opportunity for two votes per poll. --Priyadarsan
